Pempek Apy


Finally I post about Pempek Apy. I went there arround 3-4 months ago. Pardon me for late review. I went there in the morning after breakfast in Pasar Puri, my mon said one of her friend from Palembang said there is endess pempek in Taman Ratu. Then after went to Pasar Puri me, my family went there. Suprisingly, this Pempek had long queue, even it still morning which I know it is not time for having pempek. Even they had long queue, in my opinion, that indicated there are so many people wanna eat there and it means they have great pempek, so check this out!

Rendang by William Wongso

Last day of Grand Opening Jakarta Culinary Festival 2012, I came on sunday. In Garuda Indonesia lounge I saw stand of William Wongso so I visited that stand and take a look what William Wongso have and I found Rendang made by him, I asked the price first and I am impressive of the price, it is so affordable. So I bought it. It is vacuum pack so if you want to gift to your friend who live aboard you could bring it to them. It could be best consume til couple of months.

Warung Soto Ceker dan Ranjau "Pak Gendut"


Sabang street is famous as culinary street in Jakarta. From high end resto, kopitiam until hawker food is available here. So here's Warung Soto Ceker dan Ranjau 'Pak Gendut' is  one of Indonesian hawker food in Sabang Street. It is small alley, but it is so easy to find them. There are two famous soto ceker in this area, but there is only one famous and original soto ceker that is Pak Gendut. As mention before the name of this place is soto ceker dan ranjau which is chicken feet and chicken bone, so the famous menu here is soto with chicken feet and soto with bone. If you don't like chicken feet, don't worry they also served, soto with chicken, soto with unborn egg, soto with chicken skin and many more.

Indomie New Flavour: Mi Goreng Rendang

Indomie Mi Goreng Rendang
Indomie is Indonesian instant noodle, which is really famous, not only in Indonesia, but also around the world. Indomie has two variety soup or fried. Indomie also has big size called indomie jumbo and normal size. The jumbo size only available for indomie goreng. For the soup, they have many flavour ayam bawang, soto mie, baso sapi, kari ayam, ayam special, and etc. For the fried, they have indomie goreng, indomie  and the new comer is indomie goreng rendang. Even it is new comer, but some of people find it from the hypermart until the small stall in his town. In Medan, mie goreng rendang become so limited, so people hunt it everywhere. In Jakarta, I found mie goreng rendang so easily, I bought in Super Indo near my home.

Sate and Soto Puri Haji Umar

Satay and Soto Puri Haji Umar is one of my dad's favourite hawker food in Puri Indah area. Since the satay is really good also the price is cheap. Why don't you try eat there. Satay and Soto Puri Haji Umar is located accross of IPEKA Puri school. Or you could find Pengadilan Agama Jakarta Barat, the Satay and Soto is located in left side of that office. 

In everytime I visit here, I always order satay also the soto. It is great combination. The satay I only order 10 sticks and I order the soto without rice.

Cafe La Oma Lembang




In my trip to Bandung, I stay in La Oma Hotel, so in my leisure time and laziness to find food outside hotel, so I try the La Oma Cafe. La Oma has a great view and many field to play or only to enjoy the great view of Lembang. La Oma Cafe served traditional food, western also asian food. In my first impression it looks like they don't focus why food they want to served, but after I tried their food, I know how great they served the food.

Rumah Makan Lesehan Alinda Cirebon


Rumah Makan Lesehan Alinda is my dad's favourite place in Cirebon. Everytime he goes to Cirebon, he always try to reach this place. Rumah Makan Lesehan Alinda is carp resto, so many cook style of gurame aka carp you can find it here. But my dad's have their gurame cook style favorite. They have lesehan also if you bring your grandma, better you eat in table and chair so they are easily to get up.

Mie Koclok Mang Sam Cirebon





Mie Koclok Mang Sam is my favorite place to eat mie koclok. Mie Koclok is made by noodle and dressing with combination of chicken stalk, flour and coconut milk. Also they combine with egg, bean sprout and friend onion on top. Even it looks easy to make by ur self, but I do prefer eat in Mie Mangsam.

Rumah Makan Empal Asem Amarta Pleret Cirebon


Amarta is place of empal gentong also the empal asem. First time I know Amarta from food master Bondan Winarno with their tv show in Trans TV. Then I went to Cirebon and pass Amarta after check out batik in Pleret. So I visited them.

If you don't familiar with the place you don't have to worry, the sign name is quite big enough to look. Then I visited them in lunch so the place crowded with visitor to taste the famous empal asem and empal gentong.

In this visit, I tried their 2 famous menu. Beside that, the have goat satay, but since I didn't eat goat satay, so I didn't order it. Before I know Amarta, usually I eat empal gentong in Kanoman Market also Cirebon has famous Empal Gentong Mang Darma. But since I only visited Cirebon for 2 days, so I don't have time to visit all good food there.
